For years, proponents of the fanatical animal rights ideology have attempted to remove Tony, an elderly male tiger, from his home at Tiger Truck Stop through costly legal action. They believed living in close proximity to a truck stop was detrimental to his well being and therefore he should be immediately transferred to a “sanctuary” such as Big Cat Rescue. At least for now, the battle seems to be nearing its end.
Big Cat Rescue has been operating for slightly over 25 years now. During that lengthy span of time there have been numerous strange incidences involving their animals ranging anywhere from a cougar having a seizure caused by the sound of a helicopter to a serval found in its cage with a broken leg with only speculation as to what caused the injury. A recent incident involving one of their tigers comes close to topping them all.
On September 28th Big Cat Rescue sadly announced that one of their beloved leopards had passed away. The leopard’s name was Jade and she had been in Big Cat Rescue’s care since 1997. Before people’s memory of Jade eventually fades away, we feel obligated to point out important facts explaining how she and her sibling, Armani (previously named Amber), “arrived” at their facility.
