Yesterday Netflix finally released their heavily promoted documentary series called Tiger King. The series centers around the life of Joe Exotic and the events that ultimately led to his arrest for attempting to pay someone to have Carole Baskin, the CEO of Big Cat Rescue, murdered. The documentary also features prominent people in the exotic animal world such as Doc Antle, Mario Tabraue, Carole Baskin, and numerous other individuals, but that’s not what we’ll be focusing on.
The third episode of the documentary series is called “The Secret” and is dedicated entirely to covering the details surrounding the mysterious disappearance of Jack Donald Lewis, the co-founder of Wildlife On Easy Street (now known as Big Cat Rescue). The episode contains interviews from Mr. Lewis’ family, Mr. Lewis’ attorney, former Wildlife On Easy Street workers, investigators, and others that knew him. We won’t go into too much detail about the episode, but what we will say is that many viewers will be left disgusted with Carole Baskin and her roadside zoo operation.
The public’s newfound ire for Carole Baskin is apparent judging by the numerous negative comments they have been receiving on social media, although Facebook seems to be deleting reviews due to the high number of negative reviews Big Cat Rescue has received in a short amount of time.
