Not too long ago we were contacted by an individual that was allegedly sent a cease and desist letter from Big Cat Rescue back in 2011. The individual has chosen to remain anonymous to avoid the possibility of incurring legal expenses.
When asked why they were sent the letter and how they decided to handle it, the anonymous individual stated:
If what we’re told is true, then it’s quite odd that Big Cat Rescue would have a problem. They do just about the same thing with the help of their supporters (see Blurring The Lines Between Activism And Cyber Bullying).
We were kindly provided a copy of the letter that was allegedly sent to this person (full copy of letter HERE).
The letter reads:
We wonder if other critics of Big Cat Rescue have faced similar threats of legal action. Hopefully, this will serve as a reminder to only use facts when criticizing Big Cat Rescue and its CEO and Founder, Carole Baskin.
