Elijah was born at BCR of parents Cachinga (bought for breeding for $800) and Kenya (bought for $400 from World of Reptiles). Elijah was taken from his mother and hand raised in the house as Carole's pet.

Unless you believe it is ethical to buy and breed cats and portray them as rescues, these 3 cats, Elijah, Cachinga, and Kenya were not rescued.

"Elijah was born on Easy Street to parents Cachinga and Kenya. He was the last kitten that Don helped raise and was only 2 weeks old when Don disappeared. Elijah was hand-raised in the house and is a loving, but spoiled rotten favorite of staff and volunteers alike. He now lives in an enclosure around the main house and continues to delight guests, day and night!"

Big Cat Rescue (present)

There is no more information on Elijah anywhere after Wildlife On Easy Street switched to Big Cat Rescue. He is not even found in BCR's tribute page.
