Is Big Cat Rescue Lying About Your Hybrid Domesticated Cat?

How can Big Cat Rescue claim hybrid cats such as Bengals are a danger to humans and the environment when their founder and CEO, Carole Baskin, turned all of her Bengals loose? Here is the proof.
Back in 2015, Big Cat Rescue and their cohorts were attempting to pass legislation in the state of California that targeted owners of hybrid cats. Here are a few quotes from one of their main web-pages aimed at spreading misinformation regarding those types of cats (emphasis added):
The menace to native wildlife, as stated at the beginning, is probably the most pressing reason to ban the private possession of hybrid cats. If a person asks what will happen to their hybrid cat if they turn them in to Animal Control or a local Humane Society, they will learn that there is no hope of the animal being adopted. This results in people abandoning their hybrid cats to the wild. . . .

Hybrid cats are much better hunters, due to their recently wild genes, and thus can do much more damage to the eco system than feral cats alone. Add to that the likelihood of breeding with the feral cat population and you end up with much larger cats, capable of killing bigger and a wider array of native wildlife, including amphibious species because wild cats will readily go in the water after prey. . . .

They want to eat your other pets and they don’t care if it’s a German shepherd, they are going to be constantly looking for a way to take the dog down. That is why many of them can’t run free on Easy Street. They pick fights with 500 pound tigers. I have even received reports from Florida’s Game and Fish Commission of them stalking little old ladies and I have been called in to trap and remove them.
Long story short, the owners of hybrid cats rallied their forces and successfully stopped their beloved pets from being outlawed.

Animal rights organizations such as Big Cat Rescue losing is a rare occurrence. So we have to give a round of applause to the pet owners that stood up and did what most aren't able to do, win against corrupt animal rights organizations.

It's perplexing that Big Cat Rescue was even a part of the campaign to ban hybrid cats in California.

Big Cat Rescue has the nerve to claim hybridized cats such as Bengals are a danger to humans and the environment even though Carole Baskin, the founder and CEO of Big Cat Rescue, admitted to turning all of her Bengals loose to roam around her property. Below are a few excerpts from their former Wildlife On Easy Street website (emphasis added):
Amur Leopard Cat Kitten
We quit breeding cats in 1997 when Don disappeared. We spent the next 3 years building better Cat-A-Tats for our 200 residents. We neutered and spayed all of the bobcats, cougars and lynx.
We had a pair of Amur Leopard Cats who had lived together since 1995 in the "Bengal barn".
All of the Bengal Cats have since been altered and turned loose to patrol the grounds on Easy Street.
In the Spring of 2000 the Leopard Cats moved into their new 1000 square foot Cat-A-Tat with it's bushes, trees and underground dens. It must have been very romantic.
Much to our amazement, Shalimar and Draikko gave birth to a beautiful, bouncing baby boy on June 30, 2000. While it was not our intent to breed this endangered specie we are bursting with joy that another generation has been born.

Atlas
Male F3 Bengal
Date of Birth: 11/11/93

Atlas was purchased out of a divorce situation along with Arianna and Kaleena. They arrived at Easy Street on 8/31/94. Atlas is a stunning cat with a wonderful pedigree. He was never happy in a cage, however, so he was neutered and turned loose to patrol "his" 40 acres. He is convinced that he escaped on his own, and is always lurking nearby, curious about all the goings on.

USDA documents and inventory sheets reveal that they had a total of 16 hybrid cats, many of which were purchased. It's odd that their is no price listed for Orion, Golden Eagle, Hafas, Tiki, Kiki, Nova, Oracle, Jules, and the cat with no name. We can't help but to wonder if the cats with no price may have been born at Big Cat Rescue.

This video pick apart most of Carole Baskin's anti-hybrid cat propaganda video. Her past statements contradicts much of what she currently says about hybrid cats.

Below is a letter from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission contradicting claims of hybrid cats stalking people.

We'll leave you with these quotes from Carole Baskin.
Hybrids bite. Even in play, even if they love you, they bite and I have scars all over my hands from them. Hybrids are far too rough to live with domestic cats and dogs and are certainly not safe to have around children or the elderly.

Zulu Female (F1 Bengal)
Zulu arrived at Wildlife On Easy Street on 8/30/94. She was raised in the house with Nirvana, the Ocelot, as well as Bobcats, Servals, Caracals and assorted domestic cats. She gets along with everyone, animal and human.

Bengals have became more tame as the generations have progressed, however, and today most can be handled safely. They eat regular cat food and will use a litter box.
