Mongo was purchased for $600 in 1996 according to Carole's 1997 inventory. In her WOES Safari Guide Carole says, "Mongo arrived from a reputable breeding facility in Oklahoma", proving once again that she bought cats from breeders as well as auctions and fur farms. Unless you believe that you buy cats from breeders and claim they were rescued, Mongo was not a rescue.

Mongo arrived on February 25, 1996 from a reputable breeding facility in Oklahoma. He is an exceptionally handsome male and has been quite a hit with the female Servals. He has his claws, but he uses them only to occasionally snag a favorite tidbit of food from a bowl as it passes by his cage
